This is best described with the poem I wrote in my first book, ‘Flying Free with my Wonder Soul’:

A Promise
I am my ancestors’ daughter.
They fought for my freedom.
I am an ancestor to the unborn future.
A voice for my own and the many
7-year-old who suffer from unnecessary pain.
Pain from imposed injuries through our food and environment systems.
Stress from imposed expectations.
A promise to not just listen to their whispers.
Also, a promise to do the work.
This agency and courage,
I’ve taken.
Like those who had the psychic dynamite who came before us.
Even though my ego makes me so terrified,
my Soul knows we are meant to feel free.
Through their whispers and such promise:
I shall do and contribute love.
I shall go.

How and why it all began

Arlene Tribo during her final exam at the Gentle Gourmet Institute in Brosville, Normandy, France.
A visionary novel, set in 6 different continents. Also, a love story.

Early days of Hayden’s House as a business, Arlene was given an opportunity with a pop-up shop by the Hot House Project.

A memoir with 12 recipes from Hayden's House.
After full recovery from an autoimmune condition in 2014, Arlene soon acknowledged the significant healing powers of wholefood plant-based food. After learning that her specialist's youngest patient is a 7-year-old child who did not a family history of the same condition, Arlene later understood that the exponential rise of the same and similar illnesses is becoming widespread, including young children.
We cannot wait for our leaders and conglomerate businesses to take action as our food systems prioritise profits over our health and our children's health.
We also advocate for and use organic ingredients where possible. At this stage we are not yet a certified organic food producer.
We acknowledge that it is a big mission. This one step is interdependent to the trajectory of our kids’ future, our planetary health and the liberation of farm animals.
I will leave you with a quote from anthropologist, Margaret Mead:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

What and who is it for?
