Arlene is a self-taught plant-based cook. She is also trained at the Gentle Gourmet Institute, in Normandy, France. She is the founding director of Hayden’s House Pty Ltd which she established in February 2020 initially trading at Farmers Markets. Arlene is a strong advocate of organic food, volunteering at organic farms both in Melbourne, Australia and various regions in Italy. Arlene has been vegan since March 2014.

In her spare time, she writes and self-publishes books, volunteers at animal sanctuaries in Gisborne, Melbourne and also in Bio Dulcamara, Bologna, Italy.
